Travel is most rewarding when it reflects who you are—the places that suit you, the meals you'll still be talking about years later, the conversations that linger long after the check arrives, and the people and traditions that give a place its character.
That's what I hope every trip makes room for. It's why I founded Joy & Co Travel.
Earlier in my career, I worked in public relations — connecting the right company with the right journalist, the right investor, the right introduction. It turns out that instinct isn't so different from what I do now. Matching a client to the perfect hotel or destination is the same skill as matching an executive to just the right reporter. You're reading people and making the pairing that fits.
I later traded client meetings for raising four boys, which came with its own kind of fieldwork — reading people, managing logistics, figuring out our travels, what would make a trip special for everyone involved. It's also where I learned that a good question is worth more than a good guidebook. For instance, on the Amalfi Coast, our son caught a red squid and a couple of mackerel on a charter out of Positano, and I mentioned it to the bartender at our hotel almost as an afterthought. He disappeared for a few minutes and came back to say the chef would cook whatever we'd caught. We ate it that night on the terrace with the lights of Capri coming on in the distance as the sun set behind the island.
Both chapters ran on the same instinct: pay attention, and make the right connection at the right moment.
I've always been the person friends call for recommendations — the restaurant they shouldn't miss, the right hotel for an anniversary, or the winery worth planning an entire afternoon around. Today I get to do that on a larger scale, helping travelers find the people, places, and experiences that make a trip theirs.
Whether you already know where you'd like to go or you're looking for someone to shape the journey from the very beginning, I'll meet you where you are.
Some clients simply want access to my trusted relationships and Virtuoso benefits. Others are looking for a fully customized planning experience. Either way, every recommendation is thoughtfully considered, personally tailored, and designed to help you spend your time well.
